In The Community

In May 2020, we participated in the local Big Brothers Big Sisters Bake for Kids' Sake virtual fundraiser.

Kindness Cookies has a mission to share kindness by sharing cookies.

October 3 ~ The Buddhist Nuns of PEI: Restore Meaning in Your Life

The Buddhist Nuns of PEI - GWBI rocked London tonight at this sold out presentation - with their presence, meditations, love, wisdom and kindness. People left with smiles, feeling more relaxed, at peace and inspired.

What a gift to everyone who attended and to our community. There’s a lot more love in London tonight.

September 2019 ~

The Big Brothers Big Sisters held their "Barbara Rankin Golf Classic"  in September, and Kindness Cookies were shared with the golfers. We were really pleased to get this lovely note from the Executive Director of BBBS, Janet Tufts. It's so great to be able to give back to the community and help non-profits like BBBS make a difference for KIDS!

Hi Joanne and Deb,
I want to sincerely thank you for your contribution to our annual golf classic on September 20th. Everyone’s eyes lit up when they saw the Kindness Cookie in their swag bag…and I didn’t see many left when they came off the course. Who could resist?!
It looks like the event raised over $21,000 this year, which we are very pleased with. It means more kids off our wait list – something you, as a sponsor, can feel very proud of.
Thank you again for your generous support. You are too KIND and we are truly grateful! Janet

We were also pretty excited to be profiled in the Hyde Park/Oakridge Village Publication (September). Read all about the wonderful things happening in these communities and check out our story on page. 14.

We were out and about during September, at a variety of events that were encouraging Kindness, Gratitude, and Celebration.

Kindness Cookies were served at the Tillsonburg Retirement Residence Senior Prom, the London Bucket Brigade Fundraiser for First Responders, and at the London Yoga Festival.

We participated in the Terry Fox Run, raising money for Cancer Research, and also enjoyed attending the United Way Harvest Lunch Fundraiser at Budweiser Gardens.
