Warm Smiles, Cool Treats
When we’re not in the kitchen baking our delicious cookies, we’re often out in the community speaking to people about our cookies and our purpose. We're happy to brag about our yummy recipes ~ but we also love to share our mission and vision for a kinder world. People always ask how we came up with the idea and they want to know more about why kindness is at the heart of Kindness Cookies. Talking comes easy for us and we're excited to share our story; BUT we also love to hear other people’s stories and why kindness matters to them. Listening to others has proven to be even better than talking!
We’ve met some amazing people who, like us, are keen and passionate about making the world a kinder place. In July we met three awesome women who affirmed our goal of creating small acts of kindness in the community. Shelby, Rosanna, and Dana made us laugh, made us smile and left us inspired and full of hope because of their visions of making a kinder society. They are truly Kindness Ambassadors. Today we’ll introduce you to Shelby; you’ll meet Rosanna and Dana in future posts.
P.S. If you want to tell us about a Kindness Ambassador that you know, send us a note. We’d love to meet them and share their Kindness story in future posts.
Shelby Peltz ~ Kindness Ambassador!
When we met Shelby, we were enraptured by her bubbly personality, her infectious joyfulness and her down-to-earth attitude. This Bride-to-Be made us smile ‘til our cheeks hurt. Shelby is authentic, generous of spirit, relaxed, and trusting. She has positive energy that radiates from within. Her love for her fiancé was written all over her face, and her focus on family and friends as the keys to a blessed wedding and a lifetime of love was unquestionable. Shelby filled the coffee shop with sparkle and cheer, and we’re so excited that our Kindness Cookies will be shared at her wedding as a special treat for her guests.
What was also so remarkable, was that Shelby was just as interested in our kindness mission and our work in the community as she was in the actual cookies. That says a lot! Shelby made it very clear that by including Kindness Cookies on her wedding day, she's not just providing her guests with a cookie, but she and her fiancé are making a statement about what matters to them: kindness, caring and giving back. WOW!
We hope you have kindness experiences where-ever you go, meeting kind-hearted people like Shelby!
